Evaluation of the Properties of Adobe Blocks with Clay and Manure

The development of new building materials that meet technological, economic, and environmental criteria has been highlighted in recent decades, especially regarding the use alternative raw or production methodologies. In this context, objective project was to promote adobe blocks using clay manure, contributing sustainable construction sector due blocks, produced by earth technique. Initially, were characterized through chemical composition XRF, mineralogical XRD, granulometry, Atterberg limits. Later, manually, measuring 20 × 10 8 cm3, three dosing techniques: (i) with manure; (ii) clay, sand (iii) stabilized Portland cement hydrated lime. tests evaluated compressive strength, water absorption, durability. characterization results show material used research are suitable for blocks. mechanical parameters prove a disadvantage blocks: their low resistance. Even so, improve strength material, solidification structure. addition, stabilization, mainly cement, allows obtained be compatible other published articles. Thus, it is concluded manure such as behavior stability which increases durability material.
